Windscreen REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
All windscreen repairs and replacements are important factors in vehicle safety and are subject to the mandatory six monthly warrant of fitness test. You will probably fail if you have a large stone chip or large crack. Depending on the severity of the stone chip or crack will depend on whether the windscreen is replaced or repaired. All vehicles that use the road must abide by New Zealand Transport safety guidelines as set by the government. The safety of your car includes a six monthly warrant of fitness check which includes the strength of the body. Such key points include rust in the body panels, floor pan or chassis. This check of your vehicle will determine whether any structural repairs or replacement of body panels are necessary in order for you to pass your warrant of fitness.
